Norovirus confirmed in cheerleader competition illness
outbreak update
On Feb. 10 lab tests confirmed that norovirus caused
more than 200 illnesses reported among event
participants and families who attended the Feb. 4
cheerleading, dance, and drill competition in Everett.
State and local health officials are investigating the
illness outbreak. Anyone who attended the event and has
severe vomiting or diarrhea should be checked by a health
care provider.
