200 illnesses have been reported among event participants
and families who attended the Feb. 4
cheerleading, dance, and drill competition
in Everett. State and local health officials are
investigating the illness outbreak. Anyone who attended the
event and has severe vomiting or diarrhea should be checked
by a health care provider. The event was hosted by the
Washington Interscholastic Activities Association,
which has a list of participating schools.
