Online Training & Events

  • USDA WIC Learning Online

    WIC Learning Online offers a series of 18 modules designed to train all levels of staff working in the WIC program. Staff are introduced to a variety of topics that will impact their work as certifiers and/or clerks. The modules are approved for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits by the American Dietetic Association.

    The online modules include these topic areas:

    • Communication (customer service, low literacy, culture)
    • Counseling Skills (facilitated discussion, motivational interviewing)
    • Reaching Participants through WIC (outreach, referrals, nutrition education)
    • Health and Nutrition (feeding infants and children safely, breastfeeding, herbs and supplements)
    • Feeding Infants ( formula, 0-6 mo. feeding, 6-12 mo. feeding)
    • Value Enhanced Nutrition Education (critical thinking, health outcome-based assessment)
