Office of Maternal and Child Health Activities The Washington State Department of Health, Office of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) is working to promote the use of Bright Futures principles and materials within programs such as child health, adolescent health, public schools, Head Start programs, child care, local health jurisdictions, and academic programs. Maternal and Child Health activities at DOH are funded by the federal Title V block grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, Maternal and Child Health Bureau. For Washington State's 2005-2009 block grant application, the following performance measure will be included: Increase use of Bright Futures materials and principles by health, social service, and education providers in Washington State.
