PartnersThe Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program works closely with many strategic partners to carry out this important work. Who we work withWe work with many partners, including: Emergency Cardiac and Stroke Technical Advisory Committee: This committee guides action on changes recommended in the Emergency Cardiac and Stroke Care in Washington (PDF, 2.5MB) report. Rehabilitation Group: This group formed in 2007 to assess cardiac and stroke rehabilitation throughout Washington. The group drafted recommendations to improve access to and quality of care. We will reconvene the group to prioritize and implement recommendations. Washington Stroke Forum: A clearinghouse for stroke information in Washington State, the Pacific Northwest, and the nation. American Heart Association/American Stroke Association: The mission of the American Heart Association is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. We partner on projects addressing awareness, prevention, acute events, and rehabilitation. Other Department of Health programs: The Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program partners with other chronic disease prevention programs within the Department of Health. |
