Every year many agencies and organizations, including the Department
of Homeland Security, make grant money available to individuals or
groups to develop valuable programs, fund equipment or provide
assistance after disasters or other emergencies. Knowing where to
look to find grant opportunities in a timely manner and
understanding how to write good grant proposals are both essential
components in any successful effort at taking advantage of the
millions of dollars being made available. This page contains some

Where to find Homeland Security related grants
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
FEMA award grants to fire departments to help enhance their
ability to protect the public and fire service personnel. This
Web site describes the three types of grants available and
offers resources to help fire departments prepare and submit
grant requests.

Homeland Security. Designed to assist the business community, we

The Homeland Security Grant Program funds can be used for
preparedness planning, equipment acquisition, training

Internet to learn about how to access resources at the
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Through

Operating Divisions that comprise HHS, such as the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of
Health, and the Administration for Children and Families.
