Economic Recovery Funds Green Project Reserve

Twenty Percent Reserve for Green Projects

We will reserve at least 20 percent of Washington state's recovery funds for projects (or portions of projects) that improve water or energy use efficiency, that include environmental innovations or that address green infrastructure, such as managing rainwater.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) anticipates water or energy efficiency projects will be the principal focus of the Green Project Reserve. However, projects, or components of projects, may qualify on the basis of green infrastructure or being environmentally innovative.
