Washington State's Most Popular Baby Names

The first questions expectant parents are asked seem to be "Are you having a boy or a girl?" followed by "What name have you picked out?" Click on a year from the list on the right to see the top 100 names given to boys or girls born in that year to Washington State residents.

For boys, Jacob is the the most popular baby name in 2007. Jacob was the top name from 1994-2001, and from 2003 to present.  For girls, Olivia is now the most popular baby name, replacing Emma, which was the top girls name in 2006.
