Legislation from the
2007 session,
E2SSB 5930, requires the Department of
Health to develop a list of the core functions of public health which
are of statewide significance and to include the activities and services
associated with those functions. The list must be developed by partner
agencies of the Department of Health and adopted by the Secretary of
Health in January, 2008. The process for developing the list is to be
completed as part of Public Health Improvement Plan activities and will
take place during fall, 2007.
