Sexual misconduct allegation results in license suspension for Everett nursing assistant
OLYMPIA ¾ The state has immediately suspended the license of Everett nursing assistant Jerry L. Murry (NC10067120) on allegations of having sex with a teenage girl. Sexual misconduct charges issued by the Washington State Department of Health include asking the minor to become a prostitute. Murry cannot practice or be employed as a nursing assistant, pending resolution of the charges.
The statement of charges alleges Murry coerced and/or forced a 16-year-old girl to engage in sexual intercourse with him, then tried to recruit her into prostitution. Murry has 20 days to respond to the charges and may request a hearing. The charging documents are available by clicking on Provider Credential Search on the agency’s home page (www.doh.wa.gov) or by calling 360-236-4700.
The Department of Health protects and promotes public health, safety and welfare in Washington by regulating the competency and quality of nursing assistants. The program establishes, monitors, and enforces qualifications for licensing, consistent standards of practice, continuing competency mechanisms and discipline.
