Everett nursing assistant revoked from practice

OLYMPIA ¾ The Washington State Department of Health has revoked the license of Everett nursing assistant Jerry Murry (NC10067120) for having sex with a teenage girl. He may not practice nursing for 10 years.

The department immediately suspended Murry’s license in September 2006 after learning Murry coerced and/or forced a 16-year-old girl to engage in sexual intercourse with him, then tried to recruit her into prostitution.

The legal documents related to this case are available by clicking on Provider Credential Search on the agency’s home page (www.doh.wa.gov) or by calling 360-236-4700.

The Department of Health protects and promotes public health, safety and welfare in Washington by regulating the competency and quality of nursing assistants.  The program establishes, monitors, and enforces qualifications for licensing, consistent standards of practice, continuing competency mechanisms and discipline.  Rules, policies, and procedures developed by the commission promote the delivery of quality health care to people in Washington.
