Board to discuss school environmental health
Wednesday, October 13, 2006, 9 a.m.–4:15 p.m., Yakima Convention Center, 10 North 8th Street, Yakima

At its meeting Wednesday, October 18, in Yakima, the Washington State Board of Health will hear briefings from state agencies involved with environmental health and safety in K-12 schools. A major goal is to highlight areas where the combined activities of schools and state and local agencies leave potential gaps in protection for children at school.

The Board will hear updates from members of the Governor’s Interagency Council on Health Disparities and the Blue Ribbon Commission on Health Care Cost and Access.

Copies of the agenda and related materials are available by contacting the State Board of Health at (360) 236-4110 or by visiting the Board’s Web site at www.sboh.wa.gov. The emergency and press contact number for the Board during the meeting is 360-701-2398.
