Bottled water advisory ends for Legacy Ridge residents
OLYMPIA ¾ Residents of the Legacy Ridge subdivision near Spokane can once again drink their tap water. Lab tests show the water is safe.
The Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District issued a health advisory on November 6 urging residents to use bottled water for drinking. District employees discovered a hatch to the reservoir had been forcibly removed. The advisory was precautionary, and the state Department of Health drinking water staff has been working closely with the utility.
The district disinfected and flushed the water system, then sent new water samples for analysis. These samples indicate the water is now safe. The advisory affected only a small portion of the district’s service area. Residents in that area have been notified that the advisory has ended.
Residents with questions or concerns should contact the Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District at 509-922-5443.
