Felony conviction results in license suspension for Yakima nursing assistant
OLYMPIA ¾ The license of a Yakima certified nursing assistant has been suspended immediately following his convictions for child molestation and child rape.
The Washington State Department of Health immediately suspended the license of Aaron Carter (NC10086606) following his felony convictions late last year. He cannot practice or be employed as a nursing assistant, until the charges are resolved.
Carter was convicted in November 2007 of second degree child molestation and third degree child rape. Both are felonies. Carter is now under community supervision.
Charging documents are available on the Department of Health Web site’s Provider Credential Search (https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/hpqa1/Application/Credential_Search/profile.asp) or by calling 360-236-4700.
The Department of Health protects and promotes public health, safety and welfare in Washington by regulating the competency and quality of nursing assistants. The program establishes, monitors, and enforces qualifications for licensing, consistent standards of practice, continuing competency mechanisms and discipline. Rules, policies, and procedures developed by the department promote the delivery of quality health care to people in Washington.
