Sexual contact charge leads to suspension of Benton County chiropractor
OLYMPIA ¾ A Benton County chiropractor has been immediately suspended on allegations of having sexual contact with a 12-year old patient.
The Chiropractic Quality Assurance Commission and the state Department of Health suspended the license of Jeffrey A. Sullivan (CH00002853). He cannot practice as a chiropractor pending the outcome of a hearing.
Charges say Sullivan took the patient to his home to use his hot tub and kissed her on the lips. Sullivan then allegedly took the patient for a ride in his truck where he fondled her breasts and placed his finger in her vagina.
Sullivan has 20 days to respond to the charges and 10 days to request a prompt hearing.
Legal documents associated with this case are online; click the link to "Provider Credential Search" on the Department of Health home page (www.doh.wa.gov) or call 360-236-4700. Consumers who believe a health care provider acted unprofessionally are encouraged to call that number to report their complaint.
The commission regulates chiropractors in Washington. It monitors and enforces qualifications for licensing, registration or certification, consistent standards of practice, continuing competency mechanisms, and discipline.
