King County licensed social worker suspended on sexual misconduct charges
OLYMPIA ¾ The state Department of Health has immediately suspended the social worker license of Thomas Gill (LW00005015) on charges of sexual misconduct. This action means Gill cannot practice as a social worker pending further action by the department.
The charges say that Gill served as a "respite provider" for a minor client and that during some of the overnight stays at Gill’s residence he touched the client’s penis. Charges also say Gill engaged in nude massages with the client.
Gill has 20 days to respond to the charges and has the right to request a show-cause hearing.
Consumers who believe a health care provider acted unprofessionally are encouraged to call Health Professions Quality Assurance, 360-236-4700, to report their complaint.
Health Professions Quality Assurance regulates health care providers in Washington. The division monitors and enforces qualifications for licensing, registration or certification, consistent standards of practice, continuing competency mechanisms, and discipline. Rules, policies, and procedures promote the delivery of quality health care to state residents.
