Snohomish County: Wilkshire Lane water safe to drink
OLYMPIA ¾ A precautionary boil water advisory for residents served by the Wilkshire Lane Water System has ended. The water system is on the northern border of the city of Snohomish.
The 122 households served by the water system had been under the advisory since Monday. The advisory was issued because parts of the system lost pressure after a vehicle hit a fire hydrant and broke a water line. This created the potential for contaminants to enter the water system.
Once repairs were made, the system was re-pressurized and the water lines were flushed. Lab tests show the water is safe to drink.
Customers who have questions about the advisory can call 360-568-6796.
