OLYMPIA ¾ The Cross Valley Water District has ended a precautionary boil water advisory for the 175 homes and businesses affected by a water outage in southern Snohomish County.
The water main break has been repaired, water lines have been disinfected and flushed, and water samples have been tested. The results show the water is safe to drink.
The utility issued the advisory as a precaution on Tuesday after a 12-inch water main broke. This could have allowed contaminants to enter the system. Utility staff members posted notifications at every home in the affected area.
Customers with questions can call Cross Valley Water District at 360-668-6766. Information about the advisory (www.crossvalleywater.net) is available on the water district’s Web site.
