Water advisory ends for Vader-Enchanted Valley water system customers
OLYMPIA -- Customers of the Vader and Enchanted Valley Water Systems (Lewis County) no longer need to boil their drinking water.
The Vader Water Utility ended the health advisory today after lab tests showed the water meets safe drinking water standards. The advisory was issued following an early morning water main break Sunday that caused the water system to lose pressure. A loss of water pressure increases the risk that contaminated or untreated water may be drawn into the system.
Utility crews repaired the broken water main, flushed the lines, verified chlorine levels in the system, and took numerous water samples to test for bacterial contamination.
Customers who have questions about their water may call 360-749-9893.
