Pacific County: Boil-water advisory ends in Chinook
OLYMPIA ¾ Residents served by the Chinook Water District can stop boiling their tap water. The water has been thoroughly tested, and it meets safe drinking water standards.
The water district issued a boil-water advisory last Wednesday because the district was in danger of running out of water. A valve broke, disrupting the water supply to the town’s water treatment plant. District officials worked closely with the state Department of Health on the situation.
Water district personnel have repaired the problem, the reservoir is refilling, and the treatment plant has resumed normal operations.
Customers with questions about their water may call Chinook Water District, 360-777-8770.
