OLYMPIA ¾ A boil-water advisory ended today for the Sunwood water system. The advisory was issued Tuesday after the southern Pierce County system had a major outage.
Test results indicate the system’s water meets safe drinking water standards.
Although water service was soon restored, the system’s 198 residents were advised to boil their water following the outage. Contaminants can enter lines when water pressure drops.
Four irrigation sprinkler leaks, along with heavy water use by residents, drained the system’s 80,000-gallon storage tank, according to the system’s manager, Iliad Inc. The system serves 100 homes between Eatonville and Graham.
Customers who have questions may call 206-282-4200.
