Physician assistant suspended: charges say she misused controlled substances
OLYMPIA - Allegations of improper drug use have led the Medical Quality Assurance Commission to immediately suspend the medical license of physician assistant Teresa A. Coffey (PA10003478), who has been working in Sedro Woolley.
The statement of charges alleges Coffey committed unprofessional conduct by misusing controlled substances.
Coffey cannot practice as a physician assistant in Washington until the charges are resolved. She has 20 days to respond to the charges and to request a hearing.
Coffey is also licensed in Washington as a registered nurse (RN00068223). The Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission is conducting a priority investigation into her case.
