OLYMPIA The pharmacy technician and pharmacy assistant credentials of Rosa Sandoval (PTEC.VA.60065206, PHAA.VB.00064081) have been immediately suspended.

The state Department of Health and Board of Pharmacy summarily suspended Sandoval based on allegations she diverted controlled substances from the pharmacy where she worked.

She cannot practice or be employed as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy assistant in Washington pending resolution of charges.

The statement of charges say Sandoval diverted hydrocodone from the pharmacy where she worked over several months and was found in possession of the drugs. She also failed to cooperate with the agencys investigation as required.

Sandoval has 20 days to respond to the charges and 10 days to request a hearing.

The Board of Pharmacy regulates pharmacists in Washington.
