Clarkston nurse’s license suspended; narcotics possession, sale alleged

OLYMPIA - The license of Clarkston registered nurse Lisa Nixon (RN00117437) has been suspended immediately by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission and the Washington State Department of Health. Allegations say she took narcotics from patients at the facility where she worked, and that she sold illegal drugs. Nixon cannot work as a registered nurse until the charges are resolved.

The charges say law enforcement officers found narcotics from the facility, along with methamphetamine, in a search of Nixon’s home and vehicle. She was convicted on three counts of possessing a controlled substance. Nixon may answer the charges and ask for a hearing.

Charging documents are available online using “Provider Credential Search” on the Department of Health home page (www.doh.wa.gov). They’re also available by calling 360-236-4700.

The Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission protects and promotes public health and safety in Washington by regulating nurses. Rules, policies, and procedures developed by the commission promote the delivery of quality health care to state residents.
