The Honorable John Austin, Ph.D., Chair

After earning a doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of California at Berkeley, Mr. Austin practiced psychology in Minnesota for 30 years. It was a pleasure for him to move to Washington in 2004 to be closer to his son and daughter. In  January, 2007, he became a Jefferson County commissioner. Mr. Austin is honored to serve on the Board of Health. He was appointed chair in March 2011.
