Dr. Sledge has been a faculty member at the University of Washington School of Dentistry since 2007 with the
Regional Initiatives in Dental Education program at the Riverpoint campus
in Spokane. Early in his career he worked in the pharmaceutical
industry with Abbott Labs and then went on to work in a private dental practice in Spokane
for 29 years.
Dr. Sledge served as a Peace Corps volunteer on the Island of Borneo from
1968 to 1970, and has since performed volunteer work in the Dominican Republic, Bangladesh, and Nicaragua. He is active on numerous community boards, including United Way, ARC, SHMCF,
and NW Genetics Clinic.
He received his undergraduate degree from Whitworth College in 1968 and
graduated from the UW School of Dentistry in 1979.
Dr. Sledge was raised in Spokane. He has four grown children and seven grandkids.
