Washington State Health Report

Since 1990, the State Board of Health has been responsible for producing a biennial State Health Report “that outlines the health priorities of the ensuing biennium.” RCW 43.20.50(1)(b) stipulates that the report be produced in January of even numbered years and that the Governor must approve, modify, or disapprove the report.

On August 11, 2006, Governor Chris Gregoire approved the 2006 State Health Report, which is to be used by state agency administrators as a guide for preparing agency budgets and executive request legislation for the upcoming Biennium.

State Health Reports for 2006, 2004, and 2002  are available in electronic format on our Web site. Printed copies of the reports for 1990 through 2006 are available by contacting the Board of Health at PO Box 47990, Olympia, Washington 98504-7990 or 360-236-4110 or wsboh@doh.wa.gov.
