HSQA protects and improves the health of people in Washington State by supporting the health care delivery system.

Goal 1. Improve people’s health
a. Objective: Use proven strategies to prevent disease and injury.
i. Strategy: Educate communities and health care providers on best practices to decrease injury and disease.
ii. Strategy: Use information to improve health outcomes in the communities served.
b. Objective: Develop and maintain a responsive system of care.
i. Strategy: Increase access to health care services.
Goal 2. Enhance patient safety
a. Objective: Patients have access to safe, quality care.
i. Strategy: Develop standards of care that improve patient safety.
b. Objective: Health care providers and facilities are qualified and provide safe care.
i. Strategy: Issue credentials in a timely manner.
ii. Strategy: Respond to and resolve allegations of misconduct or unsafe care promptly.
iii. Strategy: Inspect and survey facilities to meet safety standards.
c. Objective: The public has the information needed to make an informed decision.

a. Objective: Use technology to improve HSQA’s service delivery.
