Special Requirements

Licensing boards have individual requirements. Different Licensing boards may have different topic selections. Ensure your compliance by checking directly with the licensing agency of your profession.

Health Professions Quality Assurance Health Professions List - Washington Department of Health

Department of Licensing - Web information on licensing requirements for various professions and occupations.

Emergency Medical Services - WACs 246-975 and 246-977 require 4 hours initial training and annual updates. Call 360-236-2828 for more information.

Health Care facility employees - must receive HIV/AIDS education, but topics, not hours, are specified. A minimum of 2-3 hours would be necessary to address topics 1, 2, 5 and 6 on the Outline.

Funeral Directors - are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Licensing, not Department of Health. Call 360-586-4905 for more information.

Drug, Alcohol and Substance Abuse (DASA) - counselors are required to have additional, specialized training. Call 360-438-8219 for more information.

Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) - Adult Family Home employees have their own required training. Call 360-493-2571 for more information.
