2009 Rule Review Activities
On November 4, 2009 the State Board of Health will conduct a public hearing on proposed changes to the HIV testing, counseling and partner services sections of WAC 246-100-072, 207, 208, and 209. For information or to comment on the proposed changes to current WAC please visit the Department of Health Rules website at https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/policyreview/. The deadline for comments on the proposed WAC changes is October 30, 2009.

2008 HIV Counseling & Testing and Partner
Notification Rule Review
On October 8, 2008, the State Board of Health filed public notice of
its intent to review certain HIV-related sections of chapter 246-100 of
the Washington Administrative Code (WAC).
This rule review is in response to (1) “Revised
Recommendations for HIV Testing of Adults, Adolescents, and Pregnant
Women in Healthcare Settings” issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) on September 22, 2006, and (2)
recommendations submitted by local health officials and medical
associations.
