Program overview

• Stay With the Program (PDF, 36 KB) July 2, 2009. A document describing the benefits of participating in the state Childhood Vaccine Program. This document was faxed to all provider offices.
• Vaccine shipment flyer (PDF, 29 KB) June 1, 2009. This one-page flier provides a brief summary of the upcoming changes in Washington's Childhood Vaccine program and will be included in all shipments from McKesson through the month of July 2009.
• Basic Overview of Transition (PPT, 509 KB) June 10, 2009. Power point slide presentation on the overview of changes in the childhood vaccine program and benefits of participating in the childhood vaccine program, complete with notes pages for providers and local health jurisdictions.

Vaccine Purchasing and Billing Information    

• Guide to Coding Vaccine and Immunization Services (PDF, 56 KB) August 20, 2009. Reference guide to Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for state-supplied vaccines and International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9) and administration codes for immunization services.
• Provider Resources for Purchasing Vaccine (PDF, 44 KB) June 1, 2009. Information to help local health jurisdictions and immunization provider practices by providing resources about privately-purchasing childhood vaccines for insure children.
• Manufacturer provided information on direct vaccine purchasing. Please note, the Washington State Department of Health requested vaccine purchasing information from every vaccine manufacturer currently providing vaccine to the childhood vaccine program. Manufacturers were informed that the information would be shared broadly and posted to the department's Web site.

A document listing various insurance types and groups with a table to help providers choose the correct Vaccines for Children (VFC) status and vaccine supply for children seen in their practice, and basic information about administration fees.

• Provider Case Scenarios (PDF, 32 KB) June 23, 2009. Insurance scenarios related to childhood vaccination describing situations that might arise in a typical clinical setting, followed by information about how the provider or clinic should respond.
• Parent's Guide to Changes in the State Childhood Vaccine Program. This one-page flyer is for providers use to prompt parents to check their insurance coverage for vaccines. It is designed to be customized by the provider or Local Health Jurisdiction. It is easiest to view in print layout.
