Washington State School Immunization Status Report Data
The Immunization Program CHILD Profile collects
data and produces reports on the immunization status of students attending
Washington public, private, and home schools. The program does not collect
records of individual students. The data is collected at the school level
and is available for public view.
Some important things to consider when
reviewing the data:
- School data reports
are produced twice annually.
- On April 30
of each year, all states are required to report immunization status
of schools to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The
data collection cut-off date for reporting to the CDC is December 31
of each year. Immunization coverage rates published in CDC's
Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report are derived from this data.
- Data continues to
be collected through the end of the school year in an attempt to get
a complete census of all schools reporting for the year. The data
is then processed and released for public review. The reports
posted on this website come from that data.
- Data reports include
only schools that reported for the school year. For school year 2007-2008 (the most
recent data available), 87 percent of all Washington State schools reported.
- Immunization status
reports come from the Certificate of Immunization Status which is parent-reported and
is not health care provider verified.
