DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, acellular Pertussis) Vaccine
DTaP en Español
DTaP is one of four vaccines that prevents diphtheria, tetanus,
and pertussis. Kids younger than seven get DTaP vaccine.
Kids under seven who can't tolerate the pertussis component in DTaP can get
vaccinated with DT since it doesn't contain pertussis. Kids should
get five doses of DTaP; one dose at each of the following ages:
- Two months.
- Four months.
- Six months.
- Fifteen to eighteen months.
- Four to six years.

- There is no separate Vaccine Information Statement for
combination vaccines. For patients getting Pediarix, give the
Vaccine Information Statements for
DTaP,
Hepatitis B, and
IPV.
