The Preventive Health Block Grant is a source of public health
funding provided annually by Congress to all 50 states, the District
of Columbia, two American Indian tribes, and eight U.S. territories.
It is managed by the
Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention. Every state uses this money differently,
depending on their public health needs.
