The Coordinated School Health Program (CSHP) at the Washington State Department of Health is working toward healthy schools and healthy, successful students by coordinating effective policies and programs, and encouraging the collaboration of schools, communities and families. This program is in partnership with the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. It is supported by funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

A coordinated school health program brings together school administrators, teachers, other staff, students, families, and community members to assess health needs, set priorities and plan, implement, and evaluate school health program activities.
