The Office of Health Promotion (OHP) educates the public on how to stay healthy and prevent disease and disability. We also take an active role in primary prevention issues and funding.

We have a customer focus when developing projects and strategies - using health promotion theory and methodologies to assess the values, interests and readiness of audiences, partners and customers. Areas of work have included:

• Antibiotic resistance - including MRSA
• Childhood lead poisoning
• Coordinated school health
• Healthy aging
• Health disparities
• Health Education Resource Exchange (H.E.R.E.) website
• Mental health
• Translation and interpretation
