This booklet is organized based on the American Academy of
Pediatrics' course book, "Pediatric First Aid for Caregivers
and Teachers". This publication as been reviewed and
approved by the Washington Chapter of the American Academy
of Pediatrics, School Nurse Organization of Washington,
Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, and
Washington State Department of Health. The Office of Health Promotion was
responsible for researching, coordinating reviews, writing, editing, design and
layout. |

and Health Services in the late 1980s. It is one of
the most requested publications distributed by the
Department of Health and has been adapted by other states.
The Office of Health Promotion maintains this poster and

Reproductive Health program at the Department of Health, is another one of the
Department of Health's most requested publications. This
updated version includes a section with healthy living
messages for women that were developed using focus groups. The
