  • Breastfeeding Coalition of Washington
    The Breastfeeding Coalition of Washington (BCW) is comprised of 1500 individuals and 22 local statewide coalitions. The BCW in conjunction with Within Reach, provides breastfeeding education materials, referrals and resources.
  • La Leche League of Washington
    The La Leche League's mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

  • Basic Food Nutrition Education Program - Department of Health
    The goal of BFNEP is to provide educational programs that increase, within a limited budget, the likelihood that Basic Food Program and Food Distribution Program recipients will make healthy food choices and choose active lifestyles consistent with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the Food Guide Pyramid.

    The Nutrition Education Network of Washington is a strategic alliance that coordinates nutrition education efforts to communicate consistent, positive and relevant messages to increase awareness of healthful and enjoyable eating. The Network is managed by Washington State University and is funded, in part by the US Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service, Food Stamp Office.
  • WICHealth.org
    The purpose of this website is to help WIC participants learn more about feeding their child such as providing regular meals and snacks, working with picky eaters, creating a positive eating environment, and the roles of the parent and the child in the feeding relationship.  If you explore these pages and complete an easy to read module, you will get a "Certificate of Completion."  Take it to your local WIC program to get "credit" for nutrition education!

  • Farmers Market Nutrition Program
    The Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables for WIC families and lower-income seniors and strengthens local economies and communities through the promotion of Washington State agriculture.  This site contains information about the program and about the WIC agencies participating in the FMNP.
  • Information About WIC Food Packages - USDA Food and Nutrition Services
    WIC foods are intended to “supplement” participants’ food intakes and should be consumed along with other wholesome foods needed for a balanced diet. Each of the WIC foods is rich in one or more of the following nutrients: protein, calcium, iron, vitamin A and vitamin C, which tend to be low in the diets of the population WIC serves. This site contains a section addressing frequently asked questions about WIC foods.
  • National WIC Association (NWA)
    The National WIC Association (NWA) works on behalf of the WIC Program to gain bipartisan support in the US Congress, the support of successive Administrations and a broad coalition, including advocacy groups, health care and religious organizations and the CEOs of several Fortune 500 corporations.
  • TriCare - WIC Overseas

  • Within Reach
    Within Reach is a private non-profit organization whose mission is to serve as the foremost catalyst for improvements in maternal, child and family heath. They provide eligibility screenings for many programs, including Medicaid, WIC, Basic Food and Take Charge Family Planning. They also provide information about the WIC clinic closest to your home.
