WIC Retailer Advisory Committee

The WIC Retailer Advisory Committee serves as a forum for the Washington State WIC Nutrition Program to solicit input from the retail community on items important to WIC and our retailer partners alike. We value and appreciate ideas and suggestions from the retail community. Some of the issues the committee has responded to include:

  • The retailer contract
  • Minimum stock levels of WIC foods
  • WIC check design
  • WIC check cashing procedures and training methods

The Committee will meet three times a year by telephone conference call. In person meetings can be held if warranted. In addition, we sometimes have materials—such as the retailer handbook—that we ask members to review and provide comments on.
