In the CommunityThe community plays an important role in supporting people with asthma by creating healthy environments. Asthma coalitions, state health departments, and community organizations help make changes for people with asthma. These organizations educate the public, health care providers, and politicians about asthma, how to diagnose and treat asthma, and policy changes that can help reduce asthma. Local asthma coalitions:These groups work on asthma issues of concern in their communities.
Resources for communities:Communities in Action for Asthma-Friendly Environments provides year-round mentoring and help to your asthma management program.Asthma Publications at Environmental Protection Agency can be downloaded as PDF files. |
