Who are our partners?

The program works with many organizations, including: national, state, and local partners. Seven regional organizations (Prime Contractors) subcontract with approximately 500 clinical service providers around the state. In general, our other partners provide funding and resource information. Our partners advocate for the program to help ensure the needs of the clients are met.

This list represents only a few of the many dedicated programs and organizations that work to support the Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Provides access to critical breast and cervical cancer screening services for underserved women throughout the country. CDC provides primary funding for the program.

American Cancer Society (ACS)

A national community-based volunteer health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem through these efforts:

  • Increase federal funding for cancer research
  • Help more people benefit from advances in prevention, early detection, and treatment
  • Make it easier for patients to navigate the health care system
  • Improve the quality of life of cancer patients, survivors, and their families

National Institutes of Health (NIH)

The National Institutes of Health, a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research. Helping to lead the way toward important medical discoveries that improve people’s health and save lives, Institute scientists investigate ways to prevent disease as well as the causes, treatments, and even cures for common and rare diseases.
