Child Profile Operations
Guidance on Confidentiality
Each parent has the right not to participate in
the Child Profile Immunization Registry or get
Child Profile Health Promotion mailings. Participation in the
Immunization Registry means a child's name and demographic and
immunization information is recorded in the
Immunization Registry through electronic birth certificate
linkage and provider input authorized by formal
written agreement. A parent may choose not to
participate by contacting the immunization
provider and requesting that immunization
information be deleted, or by contacting
the
Child
Profile Help Desk directly. A parent may choose to have
some portion or all of their child's demographic
and immunization information deleted from the
Immunization Registry.
Participation in the Child Profile Health Promotion
mailings means that parents of kids born and residing
in Washington State will automatically get a
series of 17 age-specific mailings, up to and
including age six. The mailings focus on health,
development, safety, well-child visits,
and immunizations. A parent may choose not to
participate and not to get the mailings by
contacting
WithinReach at 1-800-322-2588.
