  • American Aacademy of Pediatrics' Healthy Children - A parenting Web site from the American Academy of Pediatrics backed by 60,000 pediatricians committed to the attainment of optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
  • Bright Futures - Information on current and emerging preventive and health promotion needs of infants, children, adolescents, families, and communities.
  • Familydoctor.org - Health information for the whole family from the American Academy of Family Physicians.
  • KidsHealth - Information on a wide range of child health topics including growth and development, nutrition, physical activity, pregnancy and newborns, positive parenting, and oral health. The information is divided into three sections designed specifically for parents, kids, and teens.
  • Seattle Children's Child Health Advice - Child health and safety advice from Seattle Children's.
  • Washington's Tobacco Quit Line - A resource for people who want to be tobacco-free. 
  • WithinReach - The Family Health Hotline, a program of WithinReach, helps families in Washington access information from pre-pregnancy planning through childhood. Operators are available weekdays.

  • Born Learning Washington - A project by Thrive by Five that supports early learning initiatives.
  • Department of Early Learning - Provides information and resources on early learning opportunities.
  • Speech, Language and Hearing - A Guide to Your Baby's Development - A booklet that outlines steps in a child's hearing and speaking development. Provides resources and activities for parents.
  • Talaris Research Institute - Dedicated to discovering how children think, feel, and learn. Provides research spotlights that teach parents more about child development, reading lists for children, a development timeline, and other resources.
  • Thrive By Five - Provides information and resources to enhance parent education and support, child care, preschool, and other early learning environments throughout Washington State.
  • Tufts University Child and Family WebGuide - The Child and Family WebGuide describes and evaluates websites that contain research-based information about child development. These sites have been selected from thousands of sites about children, based primarily on the quality of the information provided.

  • Food and Nutrition Information Center - Extensive resource list of websites that provide information on child nutrition and health.
  • MyPyramid.gov - Offers personalized eating plans, interactive tools to help plan and assess food choices, advice on food choices, and other tips and resources.
  • Washington State Dairy Council - Provides general nutrition information, stresses the importance of consuming dairy products, and includes nutrition resources for parents, teachers, and children.
  • Women, Infants, and Children - Food, nutrition counseling, and access to health services are provided to low-income women, infants, and children under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
