Family Planning and Reproductive Health

"Family Planning and Reproductive Health helps to assure access to family planning and reproductive health services for the people of Washington State."
 

How Services Are Provided

Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FPRH) contracts with local non-profit agencies, local county health departments, and community partners to provide family planning and reproductive health care services for Washington State residents.  FPRH administers family planning grants, monitors compliance with state and federal regulations, works with related programs and acts as a clearinghouse for family planning information, training, consultation and technical assistance.

Vision Statement

A world where every woman and man receives the health care and education necessary to be healthy and productive, every child is born wanted and healthy, and sexuality is accepted as an integral and positive aspect of every person's life. In order for this to be realized, we envision a health care system which:

• Values health education and disease prevention;

• Recognizes the essential, cost-effective role of family planning and sexuality education in promoting personal, community, and environmental health;

• Responds to the diverse needs of individuals, families, and communities;

• Respects and encourages individual choice; and

• Includes voluntary and comprehensive, reproductive health services at every life phase
