Free Hepatitis C Testing

Hepatitis C is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV).  It is spread primarily through contact with the blood of someone who has the virus.

You may be at risk if you:

§         Received a blood transfusion or organ transplant before 1992

§         Have been on long term kidney dialysis

§         Have had a occupational exposure to blood

§         Inject illegal drugs (or ever have, even once many years ago)

§         Share straws for snorting drugs

§         Got a tattoo or body piercing with unsterilized equipment

 

Organizations Currently Providing Hepatitis C Testing

If you have any of these risk factors, you may be eligible to receive a free hepatitis C test.  The following organizations are currently providing free tests to those at risk.  Call the organization in your area to schedule an appointment.
