| Free Hepatitis A and B Vaccine | |||

HEPATITIS A Hepatitis A is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). It is spread by fecal matter in contaminated drinking water or food prepared by someone infected with the virus. You may be at risk if you: § Live with someone infected with the virus § Have sex with someone infected with the virus § Travel to countries where hepatitis A is common § Are a man who has sex with men § Inject illegal drugs

HEPATITIS B Hepatitis B is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). It is spread through contact with the blood or body fluids of someone who has the virus. You may be at risk if you: § Have sex with someone infected with the virus § Have multiple sex partners § Have been diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease § Are a man who has sex with men § Inject illegal drugs § Share straws for snorting drugs If you have any of these risk factors for hepatitis A or B, you may be eligible to receive a free combination hepatitis A/B vaccine. The following organizations will be providing free vaccine to those at risk starting in June 2008. Call the organization in your area to schedule an appointment.
