Eligibility & ApplicationThe Early Intervention Program (EIP) provides services to help eligible persons with HIV get the medications and assistance with insurance premium payments they need to improve and maintain their health. Unless otherwise noted, all materials and forms on this page are in PDF format. Links to external resources are provided as a public service and do not imply endorsement by the Washington State Department of Health. AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)Our Washington State ADAP program is administered through the Early Intervention Program.
Eligibility
Early Intervention Program requirements:
Clients with income of 100 percent or less than Federal Poverty Level ($903 in 2009 for a single person) might have to apply for Medicaid. If Medicaid denied you in the past you may not have to apply to Medicaid again. EIP will send Medicaid application information to clients. They may also provide temporary EIP coverage during the Medicaid application period. You can download a Medicaid application by visiting the Washington State Department of Social & Health Services website. Eligibility and services are subject to change. If you are not eligible for our program or need other alternatives, contact the Fair Pricing Coalition's website for assistance with getting HIV meds or assistance paying medication co-pays.
