KNOW HIV Prevention Education for Health Care Facility EmployeesLicensing boards have individual requirements. Different Licensing boards may have different topic selections. Professions & Facilities - Licensed, Certified or Registered - Washington Department of Health Department of Licensing - Web information on licensing requirements for various professions and occupations. Emergency Medical Services - Call (360) 236-2828 for more information. Health Care facility employees - must receive HIV/AIDS education, but topics, not hours, are specified. A minimum of 2-3 hours would be necessary to address topics 1, 2, 5 and 6 on the Outline. Funeral Directors - are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Licensing, not Department of Health. Call 360-586-4905 for more information. Division of Behavioral Health & Recovery (DBHR) - Chemical Dependency counselors are required to have additional, specialized training. Call 1-800-737-0617 for more information. Washington State Department of Social & Health Services (DSHS)- Adult Family Home Providers are covered by DSHS. |
