- The Early Intervention Program (EIP) covers limited HIV-related
services and prescription medications. Clients are often better
served by accessing other programs that provide comprehensive medical
care.

Health Care Coverage

COBRA Insurance Continuation - When clients have health
insurance through an employer and stop working, they have the
opportunity to pay a premium and keep their insurance for at least 18
months. EHIP may pay the premium for eligible clients. For more

Washington State
Health Insurance Pool (WSHIP) - WSHIP is a comprehensive
health insurance program for people who are denied or who have lost
other health insurance coverage. EHIP may pay the premium for
eligible clients. For more information, visit the WSHIP website or

Medicaid (DSHS) -
Medicaid provides comprehensive medical coverage including doctor
visits, medications, hospital care, long term care and medical
equipment. Specific eligibility requirements must be met.
EIP may provide coverage while a client's Medicaid application is
pending. EIP may also pay up to $900 per month towards a client's
