The Department of Health funds and supports HIV prevention services through a system known as the Regional AIDS Service Networks (AIDSNETs). The AIDSNETs, in cooperation with local health departments/districts and community organizations within the regions provide the following: 1) Together with the
affected community, develop plans for HIV prevention and care services; The most populous county in each region administers and coordinates services in the AIDSNETs. Links to external resources are provided as a public service and do not imply endorsement by the Washington State Department of Health. Some of the sites contain graphic material about transmission of HIV and harm reduction.
